Current conditions

A low-pressure zone with moist and unstable air will dominate the weather in the Alpine region on Friday. As the foehn south wind will subside or increasingly die down, there is now also a significant deterioration in weather on the north side of the Alps. Rain showers along with embedded thunderstorms will spread throughout the forecast area during the day. It will noticeably cool down. Over the weekend (Pentecost), the influence of the low pressure will weaken, and the weather will improve again. Typical diurnal weather will prevail! Especially in the morning and at noon, the sun will come through better overall. In the afternoon, one must expect local/short rain showers in the increasingly unstable air mass. Where and when exactly, no one knows in advance. In many places, the days also will end largely dry. Warming. After Pentecost, the influence of the low pressure will increase again.
„As a meteorologist in the region, I am not only very familiar with the small-scale meteorological particuliarities that distinguish the Arlberg region from other regions, but also with the demands that locals and guests place on a regional weather report.“
